Witness

In the Witness series, the photographic medium is placed at the service of the site through an ephemeral intervention and its periodic recording. This series focuses on the transitions of the seasons, covering specific windows with photographic emulsion that constantly reacts to sunlight and humidity. Changing in density and color over time, the work explores the transparency and opacity of the photographic gaze, as well as a way of imagining ourselves inhabiting the very act of photography. Both a window-to-the-world and a mirror-of-the-self, Witnesses explores what might be a vision interwoven with the world, since observing is never a passive act.
